About

I first began architecture in high school as an elective class and instantly got hooked on the subject matter of creating something from an idea. I continued my studies at California College of the Arts, a NAAB accredited school, where I emerged with a Bachelors in Architecture.

Directly after graduating, I got my first job in San Francisco working at DLR Group. Absorbing as much knowledge as I could during the three years I worked with the firm, I felt the need to stretch my legs beyond the city where I was born. I sought new adventures in Los Angeles.

In Los Angeles, I worked at Architectural Resources Group, a historical preservation architecture firm, and at Thinkwell Group, a show set design firm. One focusing on the architecture of the past and maintaining the existing built world. The other focusing on the experience of a person from the human scale. I have had a hand in designing modern architecture, historical architecture, experience based architecture, and now am looking to design architecture that looks to the future.

It always intrigued me how sculptural in form a building can be. Solids and voids which help to build the experience of the self guided narrative through a space. Each piece of architecture with its own personality helping to leave an impression on an individual visiting the space. I crave the chance to help in designing sculptural forms that would challenge what we perceive as possible by incorporating emerging technologies in its infrastructure. Imagination is at the heart of design and as long as designers never stop imagining we will perpetually move forward.
